I am a children's content creator - writing, designing, producing. I created preschool show FLUFFY GARDENS as well as PLANET COSMO and a recent app, DINO DOG. Over the course of a long career, I have written over 100 episodes of children's television, directed over 200 episodes (including ROOBARB & CUSTARD TOO) and I have been the lead creative on close to 300. My special area of expertise is preschool and that's often why people come to me to create or help on projects. I'm creative director of Mooshku.
I'm currently working on a new TV show, writing some stories and have several fun projects brewing. On the rare occasions I'm not snowed under with those, I'm usually found drawing on my iPad, making pixel art, playing games or hanging out with my kids
Question 1 : Coca Cola or Pepsi?
I don't drink either very often but I'm going to say Pepsi because I find the logo a bit more interesting. Or at least it was when it was the red and blue one. It might just be blue these days, I'm not all that sure. Part of my choice might just be me rooting for the underdog. More of a tea and coffee guy though.
Question 2 : Sega or Nintendo?
Tough question! As a kid, I would have said Sega. But Sonic has had some bad years, fell on some hard times and Sega got out of the hardware market so I think I'm going to have to go with Nintendo. They make fun games and fun systems. Sega deserves kudos for having Sonic in Wreck-it Ralph. Where was Mario, Nintendo? Where?!
Question 3 : Book or Kindle?
Kindle. I have read so much more since I got a Kindle. Books are bulky and I would invariably end up not bringing them places. Also books don't come with a built-in light for reading in bed. Reading is reading though so either is good. When your choice is book or Kindle, there is no loser.
Question 4 : Scooby Doo or The Flintstones?
I loved Scooby-Doo as a kid and I still like it now. What I find interesting about Scooby-Doo is that there have been so many iterations of it and yet they all seem to have retained the same core. That's very unusual. My kids now watch Mystery Inc. and enjoy it immensely. It doesn't always get everything right and I'm so much more aware of media messages, gender messages in particular, and I think the show has a bit of work to do sometimes on that front but the Scooby-Doo format works now as well as it ever did. The characters are fun. I do like the Flintstones of course but it's a whole different thing.
Question 5 : Walk or Run?
Walk. Running is so undignified. It's what you do when there are predators chasing you. Now I could regret my choice if I do ever find myself being chased by predators because I won't have had much running practice but generally I try to avoid situations that end with me being hunted.
